CAMPUS MINISTRY

Along with a sound academic component (Religion I-II-III-IV) and an active service component (Community Service Learning), St. Gerard Catholic High School offers a comprehensive Campus Ministry presence, as well.

Dimensions of Campus Ministry:

  • LITURGY:  regular celebration of the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, non-Eucharistic Prayer Services, Morning Prayer as a community each day
  • RETREATS:  for each Class and the Faculty/Staff at least once each year … a chance to withdraw from everyday life and listen to each other and to God
  • SERVICE:  assisting with “Work for Justice” and other outside agencies
  • SPIRITUAL/PASTORAL COUNSELING:  as needed for individual students and alumni, small groups, and families
  • LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT:  student leadership (planning, developing, encouraging, inviting as Liturgical Minister, Retreat Assistant, or Service Leader) is stressed, expected, and developed

The goal of Campus Ministry to provide opportunities for continual response, application and expression of one’s Faith in a Holy and Loving God, who calls us into right relationship with all.
